Cookies notice

Last updated 18 October 2026.

This notice lists the cookies and local storage the BoilerMatch UK site actually sets, as required by the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR). We keep this list short on purpose.

Strictly necessary, always on

These are needed for the site to work, to remember your choices and to serve the enquiry or sign-in you have asked for. They do not track you across other websites.

bm_cookie_prefs (local storage)

Remembers your cookie choices so we do not ask you again on every visit.

Sign-in session (local storage)

Set only if you sign in to the installer or manager area. It keeps you signed in and is required for those private pages to work.

Optional, only with your consent

Nothing in this section runs until you allow it, and you can change your mind at any time using the cookie settings link in the footer.

bm_h1 (cookie, 14 days)

Set only if you allow analytics cookies. Remembers which homepage headline you were shown, so the page stays consistent for you rather than changing between visits. It is cleared if you withdraw your choice.

bm_attr (session storage)

Set only if you allow analytics cookies. Remembers how you arrived at the site during your visit, for example a search engine or an advert, so that if you send an enquiry it can be recorded with the enquiry. It is cleared when you close the browser tab or withdraw your choice.

Meta advertising cookies (_fbp, _fbc) and consent record (local storage)

Set only if you allow marketing cookies and we have advertising measurement switched on. They help measure whether our adverts work. They are never set without your consent.

If you allow analytics, the site also keeps simple counts of page events in your browser while you use it, and the two analytics items above (the headline cookie and the arrival source) are set. If you change your mind, they are stopped and cleared.

Changing your choices

Use the "Cookie settings" link in the footer on any page to change what you allow. For more on how we handle personal data, see our privacy policy.
