BoilerMatch UK, installers
Installer terms and conditions
These apply to every firm that registers or receives introductions from us. Contact BoilerMatch UK at hello@boilermatchuk.com.
01
What you are buying
You are buying introductions to homeowners who have asked to be contacted about heating work. You are not buying a job, an appointment, a survey, a booking, a conversion, a contract, exclusivity, or any level of revenue. An introduction is delivered in full once the enquiry details are made available to you, whatever happens afterwards.
02
Entirely at your own commercial risk
Buying introductions is a commercial decision taken entirely at your own risk. You are responsible for how quickly you respond, how you quote, how you price, and whether you win the work. Poor conversion, a homeowner who changes their mind, does not answer, uses another firm, delays, or does not proceed at all, is a normal commercial outcome and is not a fault in the introduction.
03
Fees for accepted leads are non-refundable
You only pay when you Accept a lead, and fees for accepted leads are non-refundable. We pass leads on as introductions, so there are no refunds or credits for leads that turn out badly, including where a contact number turns out to be wrong, the homeowner chooses another installer, or the job does not go ahead. Starter and Preferred bundles are paid upfront and are also non-refundable, including any part of a bundle you do not use, whether you stop trading, pause your account, change the areas you cover, or leave the network. You can Pass on any lead for free before accepting, so read the lead summary first. If we make a genuine billing mistake, such as charging you twice or charging for a lead you did not accept, we will correct it.
04
No liability for your work
You are wholly and solely responsible for every aspect of any work you carry out or quote for, including registration, competence, safety, gas and electrical regulations, notification, certification, materials, pricing, guarantees, insurance and aftercare. To the fullest extent permitted by law, BoilerMatch UK has no liability of any kind to you, to any homeowner, or to any third party in connection with your work, your conduct, your quotations, or any dispute arising from them. You indemnify us against any claim, loss, cost, fine or expense arising from your work or conduct.
05
No liability for your business losses
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude all liability for loss of profit, loss of revenue, loss of anticipated savings, wasted time or travel, loss of goodwill, loss of opportunity, and any indirect or consequential loss. Where liability cannot lawfully be excluded, our total aggregate liability to you is limited to the fees you paid us in the three months before the claim arose. Nothing here excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.
06
No guarantee of volume, quality or exclusivity
We do not guarantee any number of introductions, any timescale, any job value, any area coverage, any lead quality, or that the details a homeowner gives us are accurate. Enquiry volume varies by area, fuel, system and season. Each enquiry may be shared with up to three firms.
07
Your obligations
You must hold and maintain the registration appropriate to the work, including Gas Safe for gas and LPG, OFTEC for oil, or a recognised competent person scheme for electrical work, together with current public liability insurance, and you must provide evidence on request. You must contact homeowners promptly and professionally, keep appointments, quote in writing, and comply with consumer protection, marketing and data protection law.
08
Use of homeowner data
Homeowner details are provided to you solely so that you can quote for the specific job described. You act as an independent data controller for those details. You must not resell, share, add to marketing lists, or otherwise reuse them for any other purpose, and you must handle and delete them in line with data protection law.
09
Independent businesses
You are an independent business. Nothing in these terms creates a partnership, joint venture, agency, franchise or employment relationship between us. You must not present yourself as part of BoilerMatch UK, as approved, guaranteed or endorsed by us, or as authorised to act on our behalf.
10
Suspension and closure
We may pause, suspend or close an account at any time, including where registration or insurance lapses, where standards or conduct fall short, where a charge fails, or where we receive credible complaints.
11
Payment and VAT
You save a card at onboarding. First accept free; each further accept is charged to that card at the fee published on the For installers page at the time. You can also use a Starter or Preferred bundle, which is paid upfront and is non-refundable. A failed charge never unlocks a homeowner's details, and we do not send invoices. Fees are quoted excluding VAT; VAT treatment and receipts are confirmed with each charge.
12
General
We may change these terms and will publish the current version here, which applies to purchases made after publication. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
