BoilerMatch UK

Terms of business

Written plainly, so both homeowners and installers know where they stand.

01

Who we are and what we do

BoilerMatch UK is run by Robert Godwin. Contact: hello@boilermatchuk.com. We are an advertising and introduction service for heating work in the United Kingdom. We introduce homeowners and landlords to local installers. We do not fit, service or repair boilers, we are not the Gas Safe Register, and we do not advise on grant or funding entitlement.

02

Our service to homeowners

Using BoilerMatch UK is free. When you send an enquiry we may pass your details to a maximum of three installers who cover your area, so that they can contact you with a quote. You are under no obligation to accept any quote, and any contract for the work is between you and the installer you choose.

03

Our service to installers

Installers pay for introductions in the areas they choose to cover. Installers give us their Gas Safe registration number for gas and LPG work. We may check it on the official Gas Safe Register at any time and pause an account that does not match. Oil and electric work follows its own competent person route. Insurance documents are optional and do not affect eligibility. We may pause or close an account where standards are not maintained.

04

Pay on Accept

An installer saves a card at onboarding and is charged only when they accept a lead, or when they choose to buy a Starter or Preferred bundle upfront. First accept free, then the paid options published on the For installers page apply. A failed charge never unlocks a homeowner's details.

05

Fees are non-refundable

Fees for accepted leads are non-refundable, and Starter and Preferred bundles are also non-refundable. We pass leads on, so there are no refunds or credits for bad leads. Installers can Pass on any lead for free before accepting. Genuine billing mistakes, such as a double charge or a charge for a lead that was not accepted, are corrected.

06

Accuracy of information

Cost guides and articles on this site are general information written for homeowners, not quotations or professional advice. Prices vary considerably by property, boiler type and area, and only a survey can confirm what your home needs.

07

Your information

We collect only what an installer needs in order to quote, and we share it with the small number of installers matched to your job. We do not sell your details on to unrelated companies. Our privacy notice explains this in more detail and how to ask us to remove your information.

08

Complaints

If something goes wrong with the work itself, the installer is responsible and should be your first call. If your complaint is about the introduction, the way we handled your details, or anything we have published, contact us and we will look into it and reply.

09

Statutory rights and governing law

Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights, including under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, unless a mandatory consumer law rule in your part of the United Kingdom says otherwise.
